ABSTRACT
A shift from working directly with individuals to consultation has taken place in schools. Direct intervention with students is often a lux ury that research and budgets may not support. Consulting has now become the treatment of choice for school counselors and psycholo gists. It has been deemed important and effective by both the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) and the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).
