ABSTRACT
Chapter 3 considered the relationships between Diana Wynne Jones's protagonists and time. This chapter, and the two immediately succeeding it, will consider the relationships between Jones's protagonists and their worlds and the ways in which Jones critiques and reconfigures the expectations of fantasy's built worlds.
