ABSTRACT
The next group of tunings will center around the key of C. We'll start with the open C tuning. The notes for this tuning are C G C G C E. The low C is two whole tunes (four frets) below the standard tuning for the 6th string. The only two strings that are tuned similarly to the guitar in standard tuning are the 3rd string (G) and the 1st string (E).
