ABSTRACT
In the previous chapter, we saw that neither the figure of the refugee defined in international documents nor the various typologies of migration offer a satisfactory theoretical framework to explain and understand mass population movements. The new approaches to the phenomenon, whatever criticisms may be levelled against them, open up more interesting perspectives.
