ABSTRACT

Now that we have examined the social organization, solidarity structures and forms of cooperation among people from Jaghori in Hazarajat, Quetta and the urban centers of Iran, we must turn to consider the flows linking these places with one another. Here it is useful to distinguish: (1) the movement of persons and its cross-border organization; (2) the transfer of money and goods by workers to their country of origin; and (3) the circulation of information and the various methods of communication. These three complementary aspects will be analysed in successive chapters.
