ABSTRACT

In the previous chapter I looked at the use of individual metaphors. First I considered the literature discussing the common linguistic form of metaphor, such as might be used within speech, and then gave some examples of the metaphors for particular elements of identity, and influences, which were built by research participants in my Lego study. In this chapter, we will expand the frame of reference to consider the meaning of the whole models, and what these might tell us about identity.
