ABSTRACT
Young children are naturally dramatic. They learn about the world and make sense of their experiences through acting out scenes and characters in their play. If you watch and listen to them in the role play area or with ‘small world’ figures, you will see how they choose and develop characters, try them out, enjoy them and then discard them in favour of the next game.
