ABSTRACT
Many studies of giftedness and talent take as their starting point individuals who have been highly successful in an area. In fact it is this fascination with ‘genius’ or ‘talent’ – often with prodigies of one sort and another – which was the beginning of the entire field of gifted and talented education.
