ABSTRACT
In the last chapter we discussed how focusing solely on the early developers in a group of pupils could lead to under-identification, especially in the talent area, where important physical skills have to be learned before talent will show. There are many other issues relating to early developers, including the sometimes undue pressure created by the high expectations placed upon youngsters who show early promise.
