It is essential to keep the pace of your language slow. Use 'pondering' to gain attention and interest and to slow down the pace. Also essential is keeping language as uncluttered and simple as possible. An example of this would be instead of saying

Adam has chosen the elephant. Tell us why you like the elephant best, Adam simplify it to

language group we are getting down to the basics of language and ensuring that the children have a good grasp at that level. To do so we need to keep our language at that level in the group to give the children access to the concepts we are teaching.
