Enhancing mainstream school capacity to become more inclusive

There needs to be clear identification of mutually agreed inclusion goals for any link programme or partnership activity, between the special and mainstream schools concerned. The appropriate selection of special school pupils who will benefit the most, academically and socially, from a mainstream inclusion experience, who will also act as ambassadors for future joint initiatives, is important.
