The last five years has seen a profusion of new green building rating systems ... at first glance it might appear as if each tool performs the same function as the others, but closer inspection reveals they all cater to different markets, phases and building types. It remains to be seen whether the industry will embrace a ‘one tool fits all’ approach or pick and choose different systems for different uses.1
