ABSTRACT
In a globalised world, inspection, self-evaluation and their interrelationship do not develop in splendid isolation. Policy-makers watch carefully to see what other countries are doing. The examples from other countries described in this chapter challenge some of our taken-for granted procedures and may inform future directions for the New Relationship.
