ABSTRACT

The journey began with a research project with teachers in England and Wales, followed by research with five-to eighteen-year-old pupils and then tested as a pilot programme in twenty-five schools with feedback from teachers and head teachers to complete the circle. As a result of this work we are now pioneering a project transforming young people and schools with those who want to be part of this exciting journey. It doesn’t matter whether it is a state comprehensive school, a specialist school, a private school, or a primary school, as each will be different according to the needs of its learning community. What is now being shaped has not just come from me but from teachers and pupils.
