ABSTRACT

Developing a new generation of leaders requires not only new knowledge and behaviours but also thinking. The challenge this presents to schools at a time when they are faced with other demands is great. However, I also know there is never a perfect time, instead, we have to make it. The demands of the Cartesian, mechanistic world are still evident with its requirements of control and measurement. This paradigm is still perhaps strongest in the world of education and over the last couple of hundred years has been wired into our brains.
