ABSTRACT

The International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centres was founded in Canada in 1995 at the Pearson Peacekeeping Training Centre. The aim of the Association is ‘to facilitate communication and exchange of information between the various peacekeeping training centres and/or among people responsible for, and interested in, peacekeeping training’.1 In addition to annual meetings, the Association maintains a data-base of training centres and resources world-wide, and the list of such centres and resources, governmental and non-governmental, civilian and military, is over thirty-five pages long.
