ABSTRACT
In this book we have been concerned with ethical issues and guidelines for human participants involved in psychological research. This chapter considers the use of non-human animals1 in psychological research. There are two questions to ask:
1. To what extent is research with animals valuable? 2. To what extent is it acceptable or ethical?
