ABSTRACT
We all inhabit a rich, diverse and vivid fantasy world but many of us remain oblivious to the imagery that is continually being generated by our own fertile minds. Just pause for a moment during a monotonous activity such as driving a car or painting a room and reflect on the chain of associations that have surfaced freely during the past few minutes. No doubt you will discover that you have been locked into a changing series of images that seemed to unfold spontaneously. For most of us these images will be predominantly visual, but may also employ the other senses.
