ABSTRACT
Modern German Grammar Workbook is an innovative workbook designed to be used with modern approaches to teaching and learning German as a foreign language. The book addresses learners’ practical needs by combining structural exercises with tasks that practise communication skills. Section 1 provides exercises based on essential grammatical structures. Section 2 practises individual functions and small groups of functions such as making introductions, expressing needs, describing people, etc. Many of the exercises are based on settings explained at the beginning of this part. Section 3 allows you to take on realistic roles in short scenes, set in a range of different contexts. The emphasis here is on finding appropriate ways to express the various roles. Sections 2 and 3 are designed so as to make it easy to work through situations as and when you need them.
