For the lay translator, the many genres of official, legal and business text can be just as disconcerting as scientific and technological ones. Here is an example of one such genre. It is the first part of an agreement on cultural exchange between Italy and Namibia. Before going on to the rest of the chapter, draft a translation of the text and make notes on its most striking features.
