ABSTRACT
Are there limits on how human beings can legitimately treat nonhuman animals? Or can we treat them just any way we please? As we have seen, researchers talk as if animals had some moral status, as if we cannot treat non-human animals just any way we please. In this, researchers agree with most people that animals are due some moral respect.
