ABSTRACT

The impact of Sigmund Freud’s ideas cannot be overestimated. He created an era where everything from dreams to culture had a psychological meaning, where the present was seen as determined by the past, and where even mistakes were seen as motivated. In this chapter I will concentrate on Freud’s attempts to show that we are all mentally ill.
