ABSTRACT
The nature and significance of foreign policy coordination in the EU remain subjects of lively debate. This volume offers truly competing visions of the CFSP, although its contributors agree on two fundamental points. First, the CFSP is a crucial factor in the calculations of the EU’s Member States on most matters of foreign policy, as well as in the perceptions of outsiders. Second, as a counterpoint to the first, no author in this collection argues that the CFSP is a truly ‘common’ or comprehensive foreign policy.
