ABSTRACT
We have suggested that many Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs) in primary schools can feel particularly uncomfortable when it is suggested that they are required to manage colleagues’ responses to SEN. Many primary SENCOs feel they have no supported status to encourage colleagues to ‘have regard to the Code of Practice’.
