ABSTRACT
There is no consensus on the meanings or aims of either of the key terms around which this chapter revolves, i.e. religion and development. However, both religion and development have played a significant part in the consciousness and experiences of those living in the world. While the literature on development has grown rapidly, discussions on religion have remained limited. In this chapter, I have attempted to explore the links between these two concepts.
