ABSTRACT

This apparently undialectical performance was conceived in the middle of a great deception, with the return to decorative art or the return of the artists to the studio in the most traditional way. It is evident that the majority of the artists are not aware that this return to “artists making art” is just another strategy of the dominant ideology in a moment of economic crisis. It eradicates any contradiction about the production of art within this society, therefore it isolates the artist from any social context (and content). Art is nice, let’s buy art! It looks good in my decorated living room!
