ABSTRACT

Lynne Tillman is the author of three novels-Haunted Houses (1987), Motion Sickness (1991), Cast in Doubt (1992)—and two collections of short stories: Absence Makes the Heart (1990) and The Madame Realism Complex (1992). With Sheila McLaughlin she co-directed and wrote the movie Committed (1984). Between October and December 1994, Tillman was Writer-in-Residence at the University of Sussex where the following interview took place.
