ABSTRACT
A detailed examination of the available mapping provides a means to identify place names and tribal names recorded in the sources (Fig. 3). The principal maps available to us have been those by Haines, Miles and Munzinger and von Wissmann, and the series from the Directorate of Overseas Survey98.
