ABSTRACT
Delhi is Far Away, is Seven Cities, has a Palace that is Paradise. The three old sayings are probably no longer on people’s lips as they were even within my memory, but I do not doubt they can still be heard in the patter of the professional guides. They are convenient pegs on which to hang the tale of India’s capital, so I will use them now.
