ABSTRACT

This study was elaborated on the basis of some assumptions. We argued that an appropriate mix of elements from the blueprint and the process approach respectively is necessary to manage people-oriented activities. Such a mix is intended to increase the degree of both flexibility and specificity of these activities. At the operational level it is important to achieve a ‘fit’ between knowledge-building about needs and decision-making for planning and management. We formulated also the hypothesis that information-handling represents a promising area for realising such a mix.
