ABSTRACT

Inside the infant classroom the children are involved with various activities. One group of children are working with mathematical apparatus and recording their observations on paper. Some children are busy writing about their own world and experiences. Other children are 'playing' with sand or water. The water play involves using measuring jugs, cylinders, funnels, and plastic piping. Elsewhere in the classroom a model is being created out of cardboard boxes and tubes. A few children are at easels painting.
