ABSTRACT
SOGAT and its founding unions were members of four wider print union organisations. These were the Printing and Kindred Trades’ Federation (P&KTF) which was founded in 1901 and disbanded in 1973 the International Federation of Commercial, Clerical, Professional and Technical Employees (FIET), the International Federation of Chemical, Energy and General Workers (ICEF) and the International Graphical Federation (IGF) from which SOGAT withdrew in 1976.
