ABSTRACT

Working with the children, select the area you want to cover, and draw a largescale map making sure all the children’s houses are marked on it. If one child lives very far away, you can always add an extra piece of paper. To do this start with a reference point (e.g. a river, school building, etc.) and then get the children to help you add social elements (houses, play-grounds, etc.), economic elements (shops, agricultural fields, etc.) and natural elements (woods, rivers, hills, etc.).
