For younger children you will need to have done some work on needs and rights and have a list of what the children consider the rights of the child: e.g. the right to play, to go to school, to have friends, to have fun. For older students, after some discussion of what is meant by ‘children’s rights’ you can use a copy of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (www.unicef.org/crc/fulltext.htm or see Resources section). Make sure that the copy of the Convention is written in accessible language.
