ABSTRACT
Sometimes local authorities can intervene to assist schools in setting up their anti-bullying schemes or maintaining them over time. In Derbyshire, joint action between parents and local authority officers led to the setting up of an LEA scheme to recognise and support schools that had implemented effective anti-bullying programmes.
