ABSTRACT
Albigensians (Cathars) – heretics especially numerous in southern France in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, following a Dualistic theology of contrast and opposition between good and evil, spirit and matter; the Albigensian Crusade was preached against them in 1208 and they disappeared after the creation of the Inquisition to discover them and correct their errors.
