ABSTRACT

Donations and gifts increased by over £1.3 million. In our report for the years ended 31 March 1998 and 1999 we set out our plans for increased expenditure on fund-raising and developing our branches. The significant increase in voluntary income is a direct result of the increased emphasis on fund-raising in the past years. The key components of donations and gifts are highlighted in note 2 to the financial statements. The emphasis on broadening the income base continues and the charity will be expanding its corporate donors’ plan which has grown by over 37% in the year.
