ABSTRACT

One of the best-kept secrets in the Photoshop Elements essential toolkit is the Group Shot Photomerge feature. Originally designed to meet the challenge of capturing family portraits, the Group Shot feature is especially useful when someone in a group has blinked or looked away. However, we shall put this feature to a different use, creating a hyper-real image where multiple ‘copies’ of the same person interact within the scene. Such an approach may be used to capture the vibrant personality of the subject or to create a visually compelling narrative. Merge the best aspects of several images to create a single image with the strongest impact.
