ABSTRACT

As we discussed in Chapter 4, color is an essential part of your design or artwork. However, the fill or the stroke of your object is not limited to solid colors—it can be filled with other types of fills, such as gradients and patterns. This chapter covers gradient and how to use it to create different effects on your artwork. Gradient is a combination of two or more colors; these colors mix together in different ways to create an artistic effect in your artwork. The effects can be a mixture between colors. Gradient color can also give an object the effect of light and shadow areas, which can give it a more beveled effect or natural appearance.
