ABSTRACT

The three-dimensional (3D) industry is very extended, with many specialized fields and applications; every tool has its own specialization that makes it different than other tools. This chapter introduces the 3D objects that animators can import to Photoshop from external resources. It discusses the Digital Images Communication in Medicine medical files that are produced by medical devices and can be imported into Photoshop. The Collada file format or DAE is one of the most important 3D file exchange file formats because it is used to import and export 3D models in Photoshop. Animators can preserve the 3D animation of the model by export it in specific formats. Preserving the 3D model mesh depends on the format used to import the 3D object. Animators can view the 3D model information and properties by selecting the 3D layer and opening the 3D panel.
