ABSTRACT

This chapter shows how to work with the both two-dimensional and three-dimensional (3D) tools to view and edit 3D objects in Photoshop. The 3D object control tools set includes the 3D Rotate, 3D Roll, 3D Pan, 3D Slide, and 3D Scale tools. The 3D Rotate tool lets animators rotate the object in 3D space. Because the 3D object’s information allows animators to view it from different sides in the 3D space, Photoshop allows animators to choose the view position of the 3D object through the Position drop-down list. There are two 3D Pan tools in Photoshop: the first one is in the 3D object control tools, which lets animators pan the view of the object around its axes. The other panning tool is the 3D Camera Pan tool, which pans the view of the object by moving the camera, not the object.
