ABSTRACT

Now it's time to shoot a project with a film camera on film stock. This will be the final exercise in the book and will call into play everything you've learned. I won't be telling you what to shoot. I told you long ago that I'm not going to tell you what subjects or stories to do, just how to do them. Here's the chance to fly on your own. I suggest you make a movie you will be proud of and think other people would like to see, but that's up to you. You might just be interested in personal expression, and that's okay, too. But remember: This is going to cost a bit of money, so it will be to your advantage to end up with something you can at least show to people to get a job. Do your best work possible, and in line with that, don't get in over your head by getting too ambitious for this first film proj-ect. It's always better to do a small project well than a big project poorly.
