ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with plug-ins that generate something from nothing—elements like lens flares, particles, strokes, and more. A properly placed lens flare can generate a feeling of depth and realism. Sci-fi movies and shows such as Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica rely heavily on lens flares, often used as a surrounding for planets and when a spaceship flies by, for a look and feel of being in space where light is precious. If people are filming in a place that does not always have bright sunshine and they need to add some warmth to their footage, Video Copilot Optical Flares gives them an easy way to add some sun shine to their shot.
