ABSTRACT
During a summer vacation trip to Dorset in England, my family happened upon Parnham House. The building is the creative center of the master cabinetmaker, John Makepeace, with to a splendid display of his and others’ contemporary furniture. All the items are fashioned with the utmost attention to design, detail and craftsmanship within the workshops behind the country house. Since it looked like the kind of place that would offer some photographic opportunities, as well as being of interest to the rest of the family, we went to investigate.
