ABSTRACT

Stephen Gibson is a consummate filmmaker who is knowledgeable about every aspect of 3D motion picture production, postproduction, and exhibition. In the 1970s, through his Deep Vision 3-D Company, and with his partner Arnold Herr, Gibson completed seven 3D features on 35mm film and distributed them to theaters in the United States. These films were produced with a direct anaglyph technology that Gibson patented and sported such colorful titles as The Playmates (1973) and Wildcat Women (1975). These films continue to amuse audiences today and play in repertory cinemas across the United States.
