ABSTRACT
Since 1995, Eric Deren has run Dzignlight Studios, a visual effects and 3D computer animation company based in Atlanta, Georgia. Dzignlight Studios has produced work for many corporate, entertainment, and medical clients, including the Ford Motor Company, Coca-Cola, the Discovery Channel, the Cartoon Network, and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. Its first stereoscopic project was produced at Dzignlight Studios in 1999. Deren is an active sky-diver and in 2007 decided to produce a low-budget 3D video while shooting in freefall. His 2 minute, 40 second video, Stereoscopic Skydiving, has since been seen on many platforms and won numerous awards at different film festivals.
