ABSTRACT

This chapter begins with some basic exposure information and guidelines, and discusses exposure strategies that work exceedingly well for the readers. It gives readers plenty of time to assimilate them. And perhaps the most important conclusion of all is to be truly diligent in using histogram. Unrelenting careful use of the histogram and blinkies eventually, but inevitably, make readers an exposure expert. Exposure will no longer occupy very much of the reader’s mind when they are shooting. Then, the reader can "take their wildlife photography to the next level" by concentrating on the light, the composition, and the image sharpness. New technologies, such as Auto ISO, suggest new metering methods to develop new strategies to solve the exposure problems encountered in the field. The chapter offers several valuable benefits for certain kinds of shooting through autoexposure modes. The automatic exposure modes adjust the f-stop to compensate for a change in shutter speed and vice versa to maintain the identical exposure.
