ABSTRACT

This chapter will not only cover the basics as they apply in concert and live music photography, but also as they may sometimes apply in everyday photography. More advanced photographers may not need a primer on basics such as exposure, but this review can serve as a refresher course for those of you just getting back in the game or as a jumping-off point for the folks who are just entering the field for the first time. This chapter also covers some important things that some of you may have not had much experience with, such as using histograms for checking your exposure and using exposure compensation to get the exposures just right.
