ABSTRACT
Before you learn how to script Photoshop, it is worth learning why you might want to do so. After all, Photoshop has actions, which are powerful tools for automation. Actions are easy to use and relatively easy to create. Actions record operations you perform on an image. Those same operations are played back on one or more other files. Although this capability may be straightforward and powerful enough for many uses, it is basically a “monkey see, monkey do” scenario.
