ABSTRACT

93When it comes to photography I’m very fond of saying, “Everything I do lives within a very small space on top of a table.” Although that’s not always true, as a rule of thumb it generally is. When I say this phrase I mean that my work focuses mainly on food, and food is usually served in front of you to be consumed. Of course, this doesn’t include my travel work, images of farmers or cheesemakers, and action photos of cooking, but you get the picture. Because I spend so much time photographing food, composition is critical for communicating and making my point, and I enjoy creating a story or environment within that little frame.
